Screwfly Studios is a two-man developer based in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. The studio, established in late 2011, is comprised of David Kidd and Logan Booker. Screwfly has released three titles since its founding: Zafehouse: Diaries, a post-apocalyptic zombie survival simulator told entirely via a dynamic journal; Deadnaut, a sci-fi, squad-based RTS where players must explore derelict alien starships filled with randomly-generated crew logs and dangerous horrors; and Fear Equation, a first-person management sim where the player takes control of a modified freight train in an end-of-the-world scenario.
Screwfly's most recent project was Fear Equation. The world has been overrun by a thick, deadly fog that manifests the nightmares of those inside it. As the "Engineer" in control of a train designed to withstand the fog's influence, the player must rescue survivors, analyse their dreams and build defenses to protect the passengers from their own imaginations. Complicating matters, survivors have their own theories as to how the fog was created and will form inter-carriage factions based on their beliefs.
